Your incision in front of the ear should have been more posterior to hide in the crease. Also, you have what is called a smeared ear. This is where the earlobe has smeared onto the face. You will need a revision. This can be done at any time under local anesthesia.

This is unfortunate that you have to deal with this. I would recommend that you continue to see your surgeon and have them do what they can to improve the appearance of the scars. The most common cause is that too much tension was placed on the skin closure. This can be minimized by placing the tension on the deeper layers of the face, especially after a deep plane release is performed. Then the skin just comes along for the ride and excess is excised and closed under little to no tension. Some people just make these types of scars despite a low tension skin closure. The redness should improve over the next 6 months or so. Sometimes lasers can help with the color.
