Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Thank you for your question. You will want to consult with your skin care provider about post care options after having the peel. It is difficult to recommend products without knowing the type of peel you recieved, your current skin care regimin or your skin type. Keeping your skin protected from the sun with a proper spf is important as well as keeping your skin hydrated. You may need to switch to a heavier night cream for additional hydration. Your skin has been through a lot and the dryness shows that it is not healthy. The chemical peel has treated the surface of the skin, but truly healthy skin starts beneath the surface. I advise you to drink lots of water and eat nutritious food, and visit a dermatologist to see what your skin needs to be healthy. Unhealthy skin is a medical condition, so see a medical professional before using OTC products that could do more harm than good.
Hello,I recommend using pure Hyaluronic Acid or any serum/moisturizers that contain high amounts of such. You will experience a nice hydrating, soothing, and plumping effect.Make sure you are wearing SPF 30 on a daily basis as well.good luck!

In my practice, I try to stay away from these combination regimens, as cortisones are non-selective inhibitors of melanocytes. I would recommend my patients to start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for the pigmentation. I would start with an intense skin rejuvenation protocol for age spots that i...
Peau d'orange (French for orange peel skin) is caused by cutaneous lymphedema which results in swelling of the skin. The skin is tethered by sweat ducts or connections to muscle that produces dimples in the skin like that of an orange.
I suggest a formal consult some of your changes may have been from your pregnancy and may need a combination approach of peels, lasers and needling. Best, Dr. Emer.
It sounds to me like you may be having a reaction to the Kojic Acid. I recommend discontinuing the use of the product for now, and seek a consultation with an Esthetician to determine the best course of treatment for your skin type and concerns. good luck!
Chemical Peels will help you with pigmentation, acne, acne scars and some fine lines. The peels will not help with skin tightening or lifting sagging skin. Thermage will hep with sagging skin and wrinkles might benefit from Fraxel or from a liquid facelift. Best, Dr. Green
