Hello, I had juvederm ultra plus injected into my lips (0.5 ml) a little over two weeks ago. Every morning I notice my lips feel and look fuller and slightly swollen. After an hour or so they go back down to normal. Is this common? I also feel a slight twitching/tingling in my bottom lip from time to time. This never happened before the juvederm. Could this be related to the juvederm and is this something to be worried about?

Answer: Juvederm and lips Thank you for your question. It is common to have swelling after lip augmentation, which can take up 2 weeks to resolve. You can ice your lips to help resolve swelling. If you are unhappy with your final results you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. Please follow up with injector in 2 weeks for an evaluation. Best of Luck!
