In the past Fat emboli were from trauma with broken bones in a car accident for instance.  Blood clotting is entirely different.  if you have a history of a deep venous thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, then these can be contraindications to having the procedure

The question about fat embolism and Coolsculpting: this doesn't happen with Coolsculpting. Whether or not you are at risk for a blood clot is a different story. I have opted not to treat patients like you because there isn't enough data to suggest it is safe or not. I would steer you towards the Vanquish, which won't affect the clotting, in my opinion.
