It’s been four weeks since I had my explant. Over the span of 35 years I had three sets of implants…two saline (first set had to be replaced due to a rupture) and silicone for the last 17 years. During my yearly mammogram, they discovered that one of my implants was ruptured. I had been thinking about having them removed for the past couple years anyway, so I was more than ready. I also knew that at the age of 65 I was not going to have a lift or a fat transfer. What I especially love about Dr. Ford is that she is fully supportive of whatever choice you make. Before implants, I was completely flat chested and even a AA bra was not needed. With the skin being stretched for so many years due to the implants, plus a 20-pound weight gain, i’ve ended up with more breast tissue than I expected to have. I could absolutely not be happier with my results. I feel so liberated and it’s so wonderful. I especially love the surgical nurses at Renuance. So kind and comforting! And the anesthesiologist was amazing! This could not have been a more positive experience. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ford and her team 100 times over!

Two years ago I made a huge mistake in having breast augmentation procedure. The reason it was a mistake was because I wanted a lift but did not want the scars and figured if I have a small implant it will naturally lift up my breasts. This was a huge mistake because I was naturally a D cup so the implant did not lift anything but instead made me into an F cup. For 2 years I suffered, hating my body, hating the way I looked, hating the image my huge breasts projected. I hated it all.... I relocated to CA from the east coast and finally decided it was time to see someone about having the implants removed. This is how I meet Dr. Ford who I found on realself.

From the first conversation with the intake coordinator to meeting Dr. Ford for the first time, I was at ease. I came in scared because I had such a bad experience in the past. I was scared to go under again only to hate how it turned out.

Dr. Ford made me comfortable, understood me (literally I felt her empathy) and gave me my life back. It might seem dramatic to someone who does not know me or the situation or what I have been through but walk in my shoes for a moment before my procedure and you would see the pain that I experienced every moment with my implants.

It has been 1 month since my procedure and I could not have imagined the results I received. It went above and beyond better than I anticipated or could even hope for.

For the first time in two years I am not ashamed to undress Infront of my partner, I am not anxious of the way people judge me, I do not hate how I look. Dr. Ford removed my implants and performed a breast lift. The pain that I had was minimum and I mean that and especially when compared to having the implants. She has a gentle hand and even though she did 2 procedures vs the 1 I had done before you would never know it by how my body reacted. I am older and the spot that I was cut in before to insert my implants is the same spot that had to be cut again to remove. You would think that would cause more pain or scarring or trauma to the skin and perhaps that would be the case with others Dr's but not Dr. Ford.

Dr. Ford I cannot stop telling anyone and everyone who will listen about how much you changed my life.

Dr. Ford and the staff at Renuance have been great. The moment I stepped into Renuance the staff was friendly and welcoming. After meeting Dr. Ford, I knew I would choose her to perform my surgery. Dr. Ford has great bedside manner and I felt 100% comfortable with her performing my surgery. She answered all of my questions, and I did have a lot of questions. My body is still healing, but my results have been great thus far. I haven’t felt comfortable in my own skin for a very long time. I highly recommend Dr. Ford and Renuance.

I've wanted to remove my 15+ year-old implants for years but was too apprehensive (time/pain/complications). So glad I found Dr. Ford and her amazing staff. I knew after meeting with Dr. Ford, there was no need to consider another surgeon. She was so attentive and I could almost hear her internal dialog during each examination. Planning, visualizing, etc.

Was surprisingly little pain and even though I'm only a week post-op, I'm amazed at how well things are progressing....

Dr. Ford was wonderful!! From the moment i first met her i felt comfortable and not pushed or pressured into getting by breast implants with her. The day of my surgery she and all the medical staff made me feel safe and comfortable. I love my results and im thankful to Dr.Ford for that...

I’ve had my breast implants for 15 years. A couple years ago I decided I really at that point wanted them out but the surgeon convince me otherwise and instead had them replace. This year, 2019, I looked again for another surgeon who would be willing to take them out. Dr. Ford was there to listen and made me feel as that she wanted to help me with my goals. She was kind, understanding and patient. She never made me feel like I was crazy when I told her why I wanted them out. She also didn’t make me feel as though she didn’t have time for me. The nurses and the anesthesiologist who works with her we’re also amazingly kind. During my first postop appointment, day after my surgery, I shared my feelings about the way my breast looked and she actively listen and reassured me and reminded me I needed to give my body time to heal. I am now a week postop and feeling better emotionally and physically. I do not regret getting them out and looking forward to living a life without them.

Very good! Dr. Ford really listened to my concerns and what results I wanted from this procedure. I wanted to ensure to have the entire capsules removed with the explant, as I felt like the implants were causing BII. She was honest with me and said she would get as much as she could, which she did. She even took photos of the explanted implants and capsules. I also had a lift and am super happy with her work, they look great! She absolutely delivered what she promised. Her communication from day one has been positive and honest, and I feel like she genuinely cares. I am 8 weeks post-op and feel so much better now that they are out and the symptoms that I attributed to BII have subsided greatly. I definitely recommend Dr. Ford for this procedure.

In April 2018, I had a breast augmentation and lift by Dr. Ford. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is truly a top notch plastic surgeon. I am 35, I've had 2 babies and weigh 210 lbs. Originally i wanted a larger size breast but after my second consultation, Dr. Ford mentioned that she had consulted her colleagues about my case and she believed going with a smaller size implant would be best. I trusted her opinion and decided to go with a 500cc implant. The surgery went well and the recovery was great. After three days I was back to picking up my kids from school. The follow up appointments are great because I needed a lot of reassurance as I didn't really know what to expect. Overall I am very happy with my new breasts and I am glad that I picked such a wonderful surgeon to go on this journey with!

Dr Ford is talented, kind, and humble. She is extremely relatable and empathetic. During my consultation, she took the time to listen to all of my concerns and answered my questions completely. She was able to advise me of an appropriate size for my body type (5'6" 115 lbs previously 32A.) I went in thinking I wanted 400 cc saline unders, but after discussing this with Dr Ford, I changed to a smaller size silicone unders. I was asymmetrical prior to the surgery, which she corrected by using 2 different size implants (300 & 325.) I am so glad she used her expertise to persuade me to go with the different size/type. I am now a 32DD. (That does sound huge, but has made my shape a good hourglass (measurements are now 36/25/36.) I had my surgery on a Thursday in the afternoon. Dr Ford called my husband that night to check on me and I had an appointment with her the next morning. My pain was minimal, honestly, I would refer to it as discomfort and a heaviness or tightness in my chest. I never had any incision pain. I was definitely not the best at following directions after the surgery. I tried my best to avoid lifting, but we have 4 young children, so anyone with kids knows how that went...lol! Plus, I did return to exercise (slowly, and avoiding anything that felt weird) a bit earlier than recommended. Despite all of this, my implants "dropped and fluffed" completely by the 1 month mark. (Just in time for Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale!????) They are very soft and 'squishy'. I have been religious with my massages, doing them daily while in the shower. My incisions are gorgeous. (Weird thing to say, but they are so thin and precise, they are a work of art!) As for meds, I took the opiate analgesics approximately three times and the muscle relaxers four or five. (I used the muscle relaxers to sleep more comfortably for several nights post op.) I had no nausea, so I didn't take any of the zofran. I took my antibiotics as advised.
I couldn't be happier with my experience and results. After spending 10 years either pregnant or breastfeeding, my body is finally mine again and thanks to Dr Ford, it looks great!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Ford. From the initial meeting with her, to the pre-op appointment, all the way through the procedure and all of the post-op appointments. She has remained the same happy, sweet, informative, and neutral doctor. She never once tried to tell me what decisions to make, but always gave me as much information as she could for me to be best informed so that I could make the best decisions for myself. She has such a wonderful demeanor, it was a pleasure to see her each time. The operation went smooth and I have exactly what I asked for. My scars are healing beautifully with no puckers or anything weird. My new breasts dont look fake at all, they have a very natural look and feel. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to do breast augmentation!
