This has not been described to my knowledge. Personally, I have never had a cosmetic or migraine Botox patient complain of any abdominal issues. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
Although Botox can migrate, it would be exceedingly rare for it to migrate to such a distant location. This is especially true if the Botox used was purchased from its manufacturer and used in the standard cosmetic doses. While Botox can have side effects, this seems to be a coincidence.
Hello Kaysey74,There is a very slight risk of Botox spreading to distant locations. In the doses used for cosmetic purposes and if you have an experienced injector this risk is essentially negligible. I would say that it is not likely that the Botox has any relationship to your gastroparesis. The way to know for sure is to wait 3 months and once your Botox wears off see if your gastroparesis improves (although if you are treating your gastroparesis with medications then this wouldn't quite work). You should certainly mention your concerns with your physician evaluating your gastroparesis as well as your injector.I hope this helps and good luck.
In my experience I would have to say no. I believe that you are experiencing a coincidental event of gastroparesis at the same time or near the time of your Botox injections.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz
I guess the definitive answer is "It depends on what is causing the gastroparesis". Because Botox can migrate, it can create problems in far distant locations, although very rarely. What is interesting is that many types of gastroparesis are associated with what is called pylorospasm, and Botox has actually been used to treat gastroparesis by stopping the spasm. You should probably check with a gastro-enterologist or Colo-rectal surgeon to get a better answer for your specific case. jlr
The simple answer is no. There has never been a report of the effect of Botox cosmetic causiing any tupe of problem with the GI tract
Thank you for your question and images. I do not see significant amounts of excess skin from your images and given your age with time you may see some retraction of the skin. Like everything in life there are positives and negatives to all procedures. Theoretically, if you reduce the volume...
Dear fullbodiedred,Thathe 11'snks you for your question and photos. I'm sure that you are frustrated and disappointed that you did not achieve the results you sought with Botox. Your droopy brow is due to putting too much Botox in the forehead muscles (frontalis) and not enough in the muscles...
Thank you for your question. Botox cannot cause conjunctivitis (pink eye). It may be coincidental or could be a reaction to the latex gloves if you are sensitive. You need to be seen by a physician to have your eye evaluated and receive treatment if needed. Please contact...
