Clear & Brillant is this laser burns or normal? (Photo)

Hi - I had C&B done 3 days ago and the sides of my cheeks are dark and very red still. Everything I read and was told was that the redness would go away in about a day. Not sure if this is the normal healing process.

Clear + Brilliant shouldn't burn the skin. It is very low energy low density. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care. I often combine Clear + Brilliant with microneedling/prp, peels and salt facials to get the best outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

There is definitely darkening of the skin.  I would call your physician and alert them.  In the meantime, you should avoid the sun, wear chemical free SPF, and a wide brimmed hat.  (A baseball cap won't shield the side of the face from the sun.)  This can be treated by a variety of methods.

Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment. It would be hard though not impossible to burn the skin with it. That being said, I think what you are seeing is redness and sandpaper texture related to your recent treatment which I expect will resolve over the next few days. Keep the skin moist and out of the sun.

Thank you for your question.  It typically takes 3-7 days for the sandpaper texture to resolve after C+B Original.  It is also very difficult to burn someone with C+B. If this is not resolving please follow up with the Board Certified Dermatologist who treated you.  Kind Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
