Still lump around scar after lipoma removal? (Photo)

Question

I had a lipoma removed on forehead almost 7 months ago. There is still a lump located around the scar where the lipoma was removed. Was told would go down after time though looking for advice?

Dear, 
  I would do an ultrasound to see if it looks like residual lipoma or scar tissue and proceed accordingly. Scar treatment would be massage, possibly scar gel or silicone patch, and if residual lipoma, just observation to see if it gets any bigger, and remove it if it seems to grow.

It is hard to tell based on the photo whether the swelling is from 1) normal edema/swelling after surgery 2) scar tissue deposition 3) recurrence of your lipoma. In office steroid injections can help with 1 & 2 and only time will tell if it could be number 3. I would certainly discuss with your surgeon, but I think performing steroid injections in this situation is very low risk and has the potential to resolve your issue.

what does it feel like? is it hard? It might be some scar tissue that you can get injected with steroid or 5FU.

So based on your photos I think you may either have scar tissue in the area or you may be experiencing recurrence.  It is hard to tell just by your photos.  I would recommend going back to your surgeon for re-evaluation
