I had 1ml of Juvederm Volift in my lips two days ago. I have had fillers in the past and experienced bruising and swelling in the lips so it was to be expected. However, I’ve never had such deep bruising above my lips, in between my nose and upper lip. Is this a normal outcome?

Developing a vascular occlusion is a risk with lip fillers and can happen with any injector. Using an experienced injector is still important for several reasons. Identifying any occlusion early and treating it appropriately is certainly one of them.
Hi there! Thank you for your question. It could be the filler settling in and I always recommend to my patients to allow 2 weeks for filler to completely settle. If you are still experiencing problems I would recommend revisiting your practitioner.
