I want to eventually get a sliding genioplasty, chin liposuction, and rhinoplasty. I think I want to prioritize rhinoplasty and chin lipo and would be able to get them done at the same time, however I'd like a different doctor to perform my genioplasty. I know chin lipo and chin augmentation are often performed together, but would there be any drawbacks to doing lipo before genioplasty? I provided a photo of my side profile.
Answer: Chin, nose I would recommend you have a Rhinoplasty and Sliding advancement Genioplasty at the same time. The Liposuction can be done later, but it probably will not be required. I have an Oral surgeon do the jaw, immediately before I do the rhinoplasty, under the same General anaesthetic - 1 night in hospital. Look at my RealSelf Gallery, I think I have photos of a combined operation.

Answer: Genioplasty The simple answer is yes, you can have the genioplasty some time after the rhinoplasty. Based on your photo, you will not likely need submental liposuction. Good luck

Answer: Combination of procedures Dear bobrossfanclub, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. generally speaking you should be able to combine your procedures so that you choose another surgeon for genioplasty. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: You can but it will not improve your results A sliding genioplasty works well, but I am not sure you need it. I use them for patients with severe retrognathia. For most people, however, I believe silicone implants are a better option (and I am a jaw surgeon). Reason being is pain, swelling, and recovery is significantly better, and the surgery is easily paired with the surgeries you would already like to have. I also believe it is much better to plan both operations at the same time. These are designed to bring your face into harmony doing them incrementally is not as ideal as approaching them at the same time. You do not want to overcompensate for the chin by over-reducing the nose, or do the opposite because of a planned implant size. Bottom line, you should pick a surgeon that you are happy to have perform both surgeries, and I would highly recommend performing all at the same time for recovery time, costs, and aesthetic balance.

Answer: Can I get Chin Liposuction and genioplasty at the same time From the one limited side photograph, there's very little fat in the neck, so liposuction would not be required. The photograph demonstrates an over-projected nose and and under projecting chin. A rhinoplasty and a chin implant can be performed simultaneously under one anesthesia with one recovery. Chin implants are much less invasive, and simply augment the chin forward for better facial balance and for portions from the side profile with respect to the nose. A sliding genioplasty is performed by an oral surgeon in a hospital setting with an overnight stay at the hospital and is much more invasive. A sliding genioplasty is usually performed when the teeth are significantly out of alignment. Digital computer imaging of your nose and chin would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with Both procedures upon your facial features.
