I feel a lump. Is my chin implant crooked? Did it Shift? (Photos)

Question

Received xl flower chin implant 5 weeks ago. Left side has been healing nicely no issues. Right side there was more swelling, lot more numbness ( to this day) . Started feeling pain when talking around 3-4 weeks post. Now is a bit more manageable but still uncomfortable . When I touch the right side I feel a bump above my jaw that is tender. I also feel it inside of my mouth under my gum . No fever, not hot to touch. Is this just swelling or is the chin implant crooked?

It is not unusual for swelling to be worse on one side versus the other after placement of a chin implant.  Normally, this issue resolves over time but it can take several months for this to occur.  It is impossible to tell if a chin implant has shifted just by looking at photos, as an examination would be needed to feel where the implant is exactly located.  You could just wait a month or two more to see if things improve or you could return to your surgeon to be evaluated in person.

It is unlikely that you have shifted your implant, but if you are concerned, I recommend following up with your surgeon. Swelling is typical and can be asymmetrical. It will gradually resolve over the next several months. I hope this helps!

I think you should give it 3-4 more weeks so the swelling goes down completely. Occasionally, left and right side feel different. If it continues to bother you, then take the implant out.
