My nose looks natural and fits my face perfectly!

Dr Kim is did an amazing job on my Septoplasty/Revision Rhinoplasty /Rib Cartilage removal / scar revision. After he examined my nose, he walked me through his plans to fix my problems in great detail. He is very professional and direct, but also treats his patients with empathy. He did not make empty promises. He told me he will try his best and he did! Recovery was so much easier than I...

My nose is natural and pretty

Dr Kim is truly a great Dr. It took me over a decade to finally make a decision on who to do my rhino revision with. I've had several consultations with different Doctors, 3 in Beverly Hills, and left many of them confused, because of bedside manner, not enough information offered, etc. Right after my consult with Dr Kim, I knew that he was my Dr and scheduled a surgery date. I was able to...

It was a complete success - 100% recommend for revision rhinoplasty

I had a primary septorhinoplasty with another doctor to improve my breathing and was left with even worse breathing quality and my columella retracted inside of my nose, crooked and looking like a pig. The work the primary surgeon and decisions he made were completely a-typical of what an experienced surgeon would do after Dr. Kim plus three other surgeons read from my surgery note. I chose Dr...

The Second Chapter of my Life Has Begun!

Dr. Kim saved my self-esteem and sanity. I know how big a statement that is, and I don't write this review lightly. I came to him a broken woman inside. To understand why Dr. Kim is so incredible, you need to know a little about the road that led me to him. After hating my God-given nose since childhood, I had always dreamt of a nose job. I chose a surgeon before my 21st birthday who not...

My New Nose Suits My Face - Confidence Has Increased

All I can say is that Dr. Kim is excellent. For as long as I can remember, my nose has been my #1 insecurity. Anytime I'd look at photos of myself--or even when I would just look in the mirror--I'd notice it and become self conscious. For years, I tried and tried to simply "accept" my nose for the way it was, but I eventually realized that because of it, I would never truly be comfortable with...

Q: Small horizontal lines between eyes. Is this fixable with Botox? (Photo)
Answered by Sunny MangSeptember 5, 2023

A: This horizontal line may improve if you inject Botox into the Procerus muscle. The action of the procerus muscle is the depress the medial angle of the eyebrows, which may present a horizontal line (as pictured) along the nasal bone. I recommend around ~5units. Being consistent with botox (every 3-4 month injections) will eventually help soften this line, and at the very least prevent it from getting deeper.

You should consider injection the entire glabellar complex (Procerus and bilateral Depressor Supercilli/ Corrugators) as a whole for maximum results.

Q: What are these cobblestone lumps on my chin? How can it be permanently fixed? (photos)
Answered by Sunny MangSeptember 5, 2023

A: 1. Botox if its muscular- if the pebbling is caused by contraction of the Mentalis muscle, a few units of botox would relax this. Treatment to be repeated every 3-4 months.

2. RF microneedling/ Microneedling if its acne scarring- this can break down scarring that may be tethering down the skin.

Q: How many units should I expect to recieve? 28 y/o female
Answered by Sunny MangSeptember 5, 2023

A: Every individual may vary in dosing. One thing to remember is that 'Dosing Duration.' As you bring down the units in an area, the duration of the results may decrease.

Personally, I like to conservatively dose my patients the first time to see how they respond. They are encouraged to take notes on their results in terms of strength, return of movement, and duration to then adjust as necessary. You can always add on more units (even as early as 2 weeks after their first injection as a touch up) but if the dose is too strong, only time can bring movement back to baseline.

The average dose to treat the glabella, forehead, and crow's feet tend to be 64u for 3-4 months of result. However, if you prefer softer results, you can dose more lightly next time.

Q: Can Botox and Dysport be done at the same session but in different areas?
Answered by Sunny MangSeptember 5, 2023

A: Yes, both Botox and Dysport can be injected in different areas, all in the same treatment day. For example, I have a patient who prefers Botox injected in her glabella, forehead, and crow's feet, while she also prefers Dysport for her masseters and neckbands, all in the same appointment.

Q: For how many days should one not bend his head over after masseter Botox and cheek fillers?
Answered by Sunny MangAugust 17, 2023

A: Post procedure instructions for Botox suggests not to lie down for 4 hours after the injection. Bending your head over should not impact your filler injection.
