I want to get a lip lift because I have a very long philtrum. Last year I had a breast lift and implants. The lift scars have healed great but the implant scars are still red and slightly raised. My dr says i’m just slowly healing and that can be common for red heads. Should I be worried about the lip lift scars? Does the face heal better than the chest? Female 25yrs old

When I do a lip lift, I use long-acting sutures that are self dissolving. These are placed in the dermal layer and usually dissolve in 6 months. Other techniques, use skin sutures across the incision line leaving "railroad track" scars.
