I'm planning on liposuction and jplasma. My post op provider says she will do ultrasound therapy immediately after surgery. My surgeon doesn't believe in any aftercare at all. Is ultrasound safe after liposuction with jplasma? I cant find anything in the literature. Just wondering scientifically if there is an issue?
Answer: Ultrasound I would not suggest using ultrasound the day of J plasma because of the amount of heat delivered to your tissues. Personally, I wait about 4 to 6 weeks before using ultrasound to avoid wasting heat on water.

Answer: Ultrasound after liposuction I recommend you follow the surgeons instructions. There’s no evidence that ultrasound has any benefit after liposuction. I am also a big skeptic on J plasma having used a device for one year I saw no skin tightening and eventually sold the device because it didn’t deliver any improvements over well done Liposuction. For Liposuction choosing the most talented and experience provider is by far the most important variable. I suggest patients do this by having multiple in person consultations at which time you should ask to see the providers in tire portfolio of before and after pictures for the area you’re interested in getting treated. Being shown a handful of sample pictures which most likely represent the providers best results of their career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like or how many of these procedures the surgeon has performed. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of before and after pictures of common treated areas like abdominal liposuction. The majority of plastic surgeons typically lack skill and experience to consistently deliver quality results. Considering the results are permanent and irreversible patients should be extremely selective in who they allow to do Liposuction. After care is irrelevant to results. What is important is choosing someone who has the skill and experience to consistently deliver quality results. Defined that requires doing numerous consultations and specifically pushing providers to open up their portfolios to show as many pictures as they are willing to. We’re looking at pictures look for people with similar body characteristics to your own. Make sure that the arms are in the same position and before and after pictures and look for any areas of contour irregularities on the skin on any area treated. ask the surgeon to review pictures with you and help identify areas that were treated in areas that were not treated looking carefully at transition zone between treated and untreated areas.
