I am almost 7 months post op, NON absorbable sutures were used so this isn’t a spitting stitch. I showed my surgeon and I was told all is normal , but it HURTS and it does not look like the rest of the scar. I was instructed to continue using silicone sheeting and massage, but it still does not show improvement … it appears worse. It looks like a blood blister that just won’t go away. Any advice is appreciated im just very lost on what this is and what to do. Thank you

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Your surgeon may need to cut out that area and reclose it with sutures that will later be removed. You may be reacting to that stitch in that one area.

I'm sorry to hear about your painful scar.  One option is to have a partial scar revision where this section of scarring is removed and the area sutured.  I've included a video on scar revision I hope you find helpful.

While your surgeon would have better information, I would usually excuse (cut out) the small area under local anesthesia and resuture it. 
This is only if there are no signs of any underlying infection process.
