Can low testosterone cause diffuse eyebrow hair thinning?

I am a 28 y/o male and been experiencing eyebrow and facial hair thinning for 4-5 years. I have oily skin but no redness, inflammation and very little scaling No circular patches of hairloss. The hairloss and thinning is diffuse and evenly distributed. Labs indicate no thyroid issues and all other labs are normal except for total testostorne which is 222 ng/dl. I also have all of the other symptoms of low T. 2 years ago my t was about 400. I know low t decreases facial hair but include eyebrows?

Hello and thank you for your question.  Low T should not cause thinning of the eyebrows. I would see a dermatologist to discuss your concerns and options. Best wishes.

Low testosterone should not cause thinning eyebrows. See a good dermatologist to make sure that you don't have an autoimmune disease of the eyebrows that is causing this problem.
