Rhinocort after septoplasty and turbinate reduction?

It has been 8 weeks since my surgery. My doctor said I still have nasal linning swelling and he thinks I do not need to use any steriods. However, I am getting impatient is it ok to use Rhinocort?

Typically, the first week after a septoplasty is not a fun one. I generally recommend sleeping with your head elevated, either with several pillows or in a recliner. Don't expect a full night's sleep. Frequent naps are more likely. I would only worry about rinsing the nose and changing the gauze...

I had a Septoplasty due to a septum deviation. I had stents taken out and I smoked cannabis, will this cause it to deviate back?

Smoking of any sort in the 2-4 weeks after surgery ( or 2-4 weeks before ) is a recipe for disaster and increases your risk of infection and total failure of your operation
