Hello, Firstly I want to say any information regarding a prognoses and treatment will be really appreciated. This issue started 2 years ago and I currently have an ENT referral in place. In 2019 I got my septum pierced whilst on accutane. This was removed in 2020 and the lump began forming in 2022. Its a hard flesh coloured hard lump which caused no pain until recently. The lump is now stretching my septum causing bad appearance and pain. Please help or advise if I can fix this. Thank you.
Hello I had a Septorhinoplasty about a year ago. My Doctor transferred. This side lump formed post surgery and I have severe swelling with stabbing pain up to my right eye. I was sent to neurologist under the impression that maybe it was migraine or cluster headache. But the mri revealed some weird photos of nose. Now I also have a pneumatized inner sphenoid sinus. I have sharp pains and pressure across the face, what could this be from?
I had a septoplasty done to help my breathing and it was unsuccessful the first time. Basically the septum started moving to one side and looked much worse than before the surgery. I had a revision surgery with a different doctor and it went well. My nose doesn't have the flexibility it once did on one side due to the spreader grafts but oh well. I'm still having sharp, wincing pains on septum if I move my nose in certain positions while eating.. or if i sneeze or cough. HELP!!!
21 year old Caucassian Male with a big nose. :) I have undergone a septoplasty surgery to fix my crooked cartilage, but my cartilage had reverted back to the way it was as the general practitioner pointed out. I do not want to undergo anoher septoplasty as I do not know if it will fix it. Recovery is also a pain. I am wondering if the septorhinoplasty would fix the problem? If so how? Thank you for taking your time to answer and wish you all the best... Cheers!!
I had a septoplasty 3 years ago but since the first week after my operation I always complained to doctor that one side is blocked and air flow from the one side is to fast. In a day I feel face pain 3 to 5 times. While focusing on my studies I am breathing very fast from one side and if I try to focus then a headache will start. Now if I run i get tired, my whole body, muscles, start to feel pain. If I am constantly busy then I am doing good and do not have my mind on my airflow, but If I sit alone then instantly my nose problem start.
Okay to kiss/make out after septoplasty? Has been 8 to 10 days, during kissing a nose to nose tap does elicit a dull pain. Will these slight bumps ruin the work done internally, or these light taps are not detrimental? No redness or swelling occurred.
I am on day 6 and just went to get the splints out of my nose today. Now my nose feels so crusty inside. I can't stand it, so I have been picking the dried blood and crusts out of my nose (often attached to nasal hair - so it hurts). Is this bad to do? If so, why? What can I do instead? My doctor did not give me instructions in regards to touching my nose.
Quite sure I need a septoplasty surgery but worried about the recovery process. I saw on realself about rhinoplasty recovery, is it similar with septplasty? What do i need to consider about recovering: downtime, medications, pain, etc? thank you so very much for your expert opinions.
On Saturday I had Septoplasty and sinuplasty. Since Sunday I have been in excruciating pain that radiates from my front upper right teeth up to my septum. On Sunday was given a Tramadol injection and have been prescribed high dose Tramadol to take home but it only lasts for one hour before the excrutiating pain is back. My surgeon said he thinks it's tooth related but I went to a dentist & had xrays and they can't see anything wrong. Please help - does anyone know what might be going on?
