I had implant replacement surgery two months ago and I have not had a decent bowel movement w/o laxatives?

I also drink lots of water exercise and still nothing to fix this problem having a colonoscopy tomorrow but my fear is it will show its normal and my bowels which are still be a problem any suggestions

Hello,Thank you for your question. Constipation post op is not unusual but temporary- typically lasting 2-5 days. I recommend that you continue to follow up with your primary care physician for assessment.All the best

Many people will have temporary changes in their bowel habits following surgery. This typically lasts a few days and is related to narcotics received during or after surgery. Since you are having issues that have extended beyond this timeline, it is appropriate that a gastroenterologist evaluate you. Good luck with the colonoscopy.

Thank you for your question.  It is quite common to experience constipation following surgery especially if you are taking pain medication.  If over-the-counter medications and diet have not been helpful, my advice would be to follow-up with your plastic surgeon as well as your primary physician.  Best of luck.

Constipation is usually limited to a short time period after surgery and is associated with narcotics. Your colonoscopy doctor should be able to give you some answers. Sorry to hear about your constipation, mrslschmitz.
One of the common reasons why people end up being constipated after surgery is the use of narcotic meds. If you’re still using them, you should wean off them.
Also, you should include high-fiber foods in your diet to aid in digestion and help you move your bowels more efficiently.
Other than those, please wait for the results of your colonoscopy. Your general physician should be able to give you more personalized recommendations after that.

could be caused by opoid meds but it is unlikely that you would be on opoids 2 months after your procedure.  it sounds like you are getting medical care which is critical to sure that you don't have an intestinal tumor or other medical issues.
