Hello,A good question, but our answer may not be what you are expecting. There are no known reasons for why you should not have Sculptra injections for the buttocks if you are not pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of treatments. However, we would like to suggest that it may be prudent to wait until AFTER pregnancy/breastfeeding. The reason being, hormonal fluctuations and body changes may greatly affect how you will respond to treatments. Your goals/needs may be quite different following pregnancy with regards to weight changes as well as body shape changes. By waiting, you may have a better financial investment and outcome.
pregnancy really should have no effect on sculptra but it will not affect you getting pregnant or lactating. Best, Dr. Emer.
The safety of Sculptra for use during pregnancy, in breastfeeding females or in patients under 18 years has not been established.
There should not be any issues with having Scuptra treatment prior to becoming pregnant. Treatment before pregnancy should not affect the pregnancy or lactation.
Dear marie142814, I see no contra-indication up to the day you conceive. Sculptra is a bio-active filler that does have "signaling" activity to stimulate fibroblast generation of collagen and other molecules. Please discuss this with your Board Certified Injector and your Gynecologist as to its necessity as the FDA states: Safety and effectiveness of SCULPTRA Aesthetic has not been evaluated in subjects who are pregnant, lactating, breast feeding, or under 18 years of age. I wish you all the best!

Thank you for your question and posting your pictures. I would recommend starting with 4 vials per side and reevaluate after 8 to 10 weeks. New collagen formation can take up to 6 months or more but a good assessment can be made at the 8 to 10 week mark.In our office, we combine Emsculpt with...
Thank you for your question, yes, Sculptra can be used to improve the shape of the buttocks. Keep in mind, the buttocks need numerous vials of Sculptra over time to build volume, and in some instances the results are subtle and will need to be combined with fat or implants to achieve desired ...
Yes, 10 vials as a start is a common and good recommendation. From there, you observe the result and see if you need more or not depending on your goals. Sculptra unlike other fillers increases volume as it induces collagen production. So the solution itself is not the one that produces the...
Sculptra is a different type of treatment than other injectable fillers. This formulation works by stimulating the body to produce more collagen, which creates natural fullness from the inside out. Since it is your own collagen creating the additional volume, the results usually feel quite...
Hello, thank you for your question. Sculptra is a great option to increase volume in the buttocks and to treat cellulite. Although off-label, it has become a very popular treatment. Please seek a Board-Certified Dermatologist for a consultation to determine if you are an ideal candidate for ...
