Thank you for you question and photo, The Bellesoma Method is a current technique to lift and/or reduce breasts without using implants or the ugly vertical scars. The incisions are hidden around the areola and in the inframammary crease. The vertical incision has been completely eliminated. The areola incision heals almost invisibly due to the fact that there is hardly any tension on the closure. With this particular technique, ducts are preserved along with nerve supply maintaining nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. Because the breast is reshaped internally and is secured to your chest muscles, upper pole fullness is possible without an implant. Attached is a patient who underwent The Bellesoma Method. Please note that her tissue was used to create upper pole fullness and cleavage without any foreign materials (mesh, implants, etc). It is a proprietary technique that only surgeons that have been trained by me can perform. I hope this helps. Best wishes and kind regards, Dr. Gary Horndeski
I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are having w/ your breasts. This needs to be evaluated by your physician. I would start with a mammogram. Breast reduction surgery is not likely to be the cure for recurrent breast infections, so additional testing is necessary in your case. Best wishes.
With a large and heavy breast rashes and infection can be quite common especially during summer months. Moisture is a good environment for bacteria and fungi with the skin on skin contact. Breast reduction is a very effective way to reduce and lift the breast and solve such problems.
This may be a form of hidradenitis suppurative in the breast area. It can be eradicated with excision. The excision could be incorporated into a breast reduction. The procedure would carry a higher risk of infection.Best,Talmage Raine MD
Hi, JHarp. Thank you for sharing your pics and your concerns. I would say that the surgeon that you consulted with was being very upfront and honest with you, looking out for your best interest. (Although, I would disagree in part with his/her assessment regarding the potential for resultant ...
As noted below, fat necrosis is fairly uncommon after breast reduction in an otherwise healthy non smoking person. Obviously as a patient increases their risk factors the chance of complications increases. If concerned then please discuss with your chosen board certified plastic surgeon.
These two procedures can be done at the same time with favorable outcome, one recovery, and less expense. The one major drawback is that resting comfortably following the surgery is a challenge. I recommend that my patients sleep on their sides. Patients can also rest in other positions as ...
