I got an FUE this year but the hairline is too low and straight. I was wondering if I could remove it with FUE and redistribute it to the donor area. How much scarring would this cause on my forehead? What options do I have? Thanks!

Answer: Reverse a FUE? It's possible, but an in person consultation is necessary. Hopefully you have consulted with your original surgeon to discuss the results and options. Best of luck to you.

Answer: FUE reversal This is an advanced procedure and I would recommend consulting with an experienced hair transplant surgeon to explore your options. It's hard to correct an improperly done surgery and I am sorry you had to learn this first hand. I hope your experience will help others not to make the same mistake when considering their own hair transplant. It is possible to do FUE on the hairline. This, however, will leave very small circular scars. With this option, you may want to simply reshape your hairline and redistribute the grafts taken from the low and straight parts into the new, more natural hairline that your doctor will create. I would only consider transplanting them back to the donor area if the donor area was severely overharvested. In some very unfortunate cases of bad transplants done by unqualified or inexperienced clinics, I have recommended electrolysis hair removal for correction.
