Thank you for your question and photos. I agree with the other posts that you are early in your healing and the volume will change with healing. Unfortunately, the shape that was created will not change. You have too much fat in the upper lateral buttocks which gives a long rectangular shape. This is either undertreated with liposuction or too much fat was placed in the wrong places. I personally never see this much bruising in my BBL cases. Tells me that you had significant bleeding in the buttocks from the procedure. More bleeding leads to increased scarring or unevenness over time. BTW, these cut outs in the garment, although a good idea, they do not work. I see you or your surgeon cut yours to customize it. Stay close to your surgeon. You should see the final shape in 3-6 months. I think at that time you might need a revision to improve the shape of your buttocks. Good luck with healing.
You are very early in the post operative period. Bruising, swelling, and firmness is common after fat transfer to the buttocks. This should resolve over the next several weeks. You should contact your plastic surgeon with any concerns you may have and follow his or her advice. Best of luck with your continued recovery.
Thank you for your question and sharing your photos. Remeber, you are only 3 days out of surgery. You will have alot of bruising and swelling for the next couple weeks. In time swelling and bruising will go down. The best thing to do is be patient and let your body heal itself. There is nothing I see in the photos that are concerning. Best of luck!Dhaval M. Dear Liz203,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 3 days post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen and bruising can be expected. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thanks for your question! Bruising after liposuction and fat grafting is very normal. It should start to resolve within a week or two, but if it doesn't get better or gets worse, be sure to reach out to your plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Hello, thanks for your question and provided information. I recommend you to wait at least 6 months to judge final results, besides that, you will start healing soon, use a boopy pillow to sit and sleep.
Bruising after a BBL is normal. It will likely get better over the next 1-2 weeks. If concerned, see your surgeon.
You are in early stages of healing. Swelling and bruising are normals signs during these stage. Consult your surgeon with any post op concerns.
The swelling and bruising will continue to go away and your shape should get slimmer and your butt softer. It takes months to completely heal.

Thanks so much for reaching out. It is true that some of the fat cells transferred in surgery resorb. The national average is about 50% goes away within a year. I think my patients have higher retention rates, because of better patient education sessions. The fat that is transferred has ...

The risk of BBL is actually quite low. There was a lot of news about the recent death in Florida is concerning but the procedure itself when done conservatively should not be near the blood vessels that are thought to be the cause of death from BBL. I would visit with a few plastic surgeons an...
