In fact, in some countries like Australia, the procedure is held off for a few days, similar to a cooling off period. In the U.S., the American Society of Plastic Surgeons believes that parental consent is not enough. Doctors should also make sure that it is patient initiated, the goals are realistic and the patient is (psychologically) mature enough.Although it applies more for surgery, it is a good guide for other aesthetic procedures like Botox and Fillers, as well.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
