Is there anything I can do for broken capillaries post lower bleph? (Photos)

I had a lower bleph app. 2 months ago. I am pleased with the results except for continued grittiness in my left eye and broken capillaries/dark discoloration under both eyes. Is there anything that can be done for these?

Hello and thank you for your question. I recommend that all my patients take Arnica supplements before and after surgery. I also advise them to use the Arnica gel after surgery which helps significantly reduce the bruising.

Thank you for sharing your experience and congratulations on your surgery.
From your photos, it appears that you have already made significant progress between six and eight weeks with respect to the bruising and discoloration of your lower lids. You are fair skinned and often bruising and swelling are more apparent in patients with your skin tone. Additionally, two months post-op is still very early in your recovery period. With time, your results should continue to improve. I recommend you to continue following up with your plastic surgeon regularly to monitor your progress, but otherwise, anticipate continued improvement for the next few months.
