I got lumps around my eyes one week after PRP treatment, is this normal?

Recently I had PRP for dark circles. After one week I got swelling around my eyes. Few lumps have formed. Can you tell me is this normal ? Now my face looks worse than before. I'm afraid to go for second prp.

Hello,

When injecting PRP the results are very smooth. If the skin treated is too thin then some swelling may occur but this usually resolves in about 1-2 weeks. If filler is also injected as a base  for the PRP then  the filler could form lumps. 
I hope this helps. I suggest that you see your injector for a follow up and discuss the issue. The filler can be dissolved most of the times.

PRP alone should not cause any lumps or bumps. Swelling around the injection sites may occur. I suggest following up with your provider. Best of luck!

PRP alone should not leave long lasting lumps or overcorrection.  PRP will reabsorb in a few days after injection and then stimulate cell production by your body.  If filler was injected also, still allow some time for reduction of swelling and the water base.  After 2-4 weeks if there is still overcorrection a hyaluronic acid filler can be removed with hyaluronidase.  If a different type of filler was used there may still be some helpful options.  Work with your injector who already knows you and the products used to get the best resolution.  The eyes are a challenge to treat especially if the skin integrity is already thin and has lost elasticity. Sometimes it takes 2 steps for optimal results such as filler plus a tightening procedure or microneedling.  Good luck.
