Nothing is 100% in life (aside from death and taxes). Every case and every clinic (doctor) have varying success rates. In general 90% + growth rate would be considered a success.
Thank you for your question, depending on the location on where the hair follicles are placed will depend the survival., however typically 70-90%. All The Best
Generally a transplant would be pretty close to 100% survival, but it almost never hits the perfect survival mark, and a surgeon definitely couldn't guarantee that it would be 100% either. Even if only 90% survive, that's still a lot of grafts and it'll probably look just fine once you see the final results after a full year.
This will depend greatly on the skill of your surgeon and his surgical team. In the right hands a 4,000 graft procedure should yield in the high 90% range.
If the grafts are good (meaning they are intact with bulbs attached and have been kept in cool holding solution and not dried out) and are planted well (placed gently into the sites with minimal trauma) you should expect the great majority of your grafts to grow, >90%. The factors that I mentioned above, if not done properly leads to less survival of grafts.
No , actually not.. According to my experiences on hair restoration surgery , only %80-85 of all transplanted hair follicles remain viable and grow up after surgery .İn some of cases almost non of them may regow because of un experienced hands .The most outstanding reason for poor growth and ineffectual hair restoration results is insufficient number of viable graft placement as a result of intra operative damage of follicular units ( during insertion or high transection rates during harvesting, long time of grafts out of body, dehydratation, poor FU storage conditions like high room temperature and storage fluids etc.)
The growth rate on transplanting 4000 hairs will never be 100% but in the hands of a good surgeon and an experienced team, the results should be in the 90+% range
2 months past your transplant there's nothing really to worry about. The only things that can ruin your new hair are the same things that would ruin your natural hair. Leaving something like toppik in your hair overnight shouldn't cause your grafts any permanent damage.
We recommend a simple Head and Shoulders or other anti-dandruff shampoo with zinc to keep your scalp healthy, clean and decrease itching post transplant. This is also good for maintenance washing. Another ingredient is ketoconazole that is found in anti-dandruff shampoos and those for...
It should be okay, since they are two completely different procedures. But the two people you should really be asking about this are the surgeon who performed your first surgery and the one who will be performing your transplant, as they each know the specifics of your case and if there are any...
