Had a chemical Peel yesterday, I am very raw & my skin is hardening. How can I speed up the healing process? (photo)

I went to my dermatologist last wk & gave me gels to put on night & morning. I used the gels a few days prior to my peel. The gels made my skin dry & I figured the peel would help with it. When she started my peel I burned only slightly. Once the neutralizing stuff was on my face it BURNED!! She fanned my face to help with pain. She recommend to put aloe on my face the next 3-4 days& moisturize. I am very raw its& starting to harden like a scab. I wanted to get rid of my acne scars.

I would recommend non-comedogenic moisturizers 5-6 times a day to accelerate wound healing. You should also follow up with your doctor so they can evaluate your skin.

Thank you for your question. I would recommend setting a follow up appointment with your doctor to evaluate your skin as it heals. You can use a heavy moisturizer throughout the day to help with they dryness. Keep the skin hydrated and stay out of the sun so you do not damage the skin as it is healing. Sun exposure along with pulling off any flaking skin can cause permanent pigmentation/scar damage. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard
