I had a temporary crown placed yesterday in an attempt to treat a cracked tooth (after a failed attempt at a filling a couple days prior). I no longer have any cold/heat sensitivity or pain on pressing/biting, but that part of my jaw is still in a decent amount of pain, requiring advil regularly. Is this normal? If so, how long should it last. I'm trying to figure out how much I put up with before I give up and do the root canal...
