Considering a tip plasty and alarplasty - am I a candidate and which procedure would benefit me most? (photos)

Hi, I want to know if I am a candidate for Tip Plasty and Alarplasty, I would like to know which one would be more beneficial. I am very motivated to do it this way because a full rhinoplasty will require General anaesthesia and I am 100% decided I will not do that. I want to know if it would work on me, I prefer to do both procedures in 1 surgery or spread it in 6 months / 1 year I really don't mind doing that. Thanks so much and hope to hear from you.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can understand your photos and the question, your wishes and nose are not suitable for the local anesthesia. Of course you can have it but It will not satisfy your goals. With open rhinoplasty your tip and the alar base plasty can be done in one surgery. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

Tip plasty is rhinoplasty surgery that is meant to reconstruct your nasal tip. When we reconstruct somebody's nasal tip, we typically utilize nasal septal cartilage to achieve a desired result. Since your nose is part of your Airway, we recommend general anesthesia for Airway protection in all rhinoplasty surgeries, including tip plasty. If you would be happy with an isolated alarplasty for decreasing the flare of your nostrils, local anesthesia could be considered for that. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
