We generally do not recommend taking part in activity that may lead to infection for at least a week or two post-procedure, as this skin is increasingly susceptible at this time.
Thank you for your question in regards to laser tattoo removal. It is not recommended to swim/soak in water after laser tattoo removal treatment until the area is completely healed, which can take 7-14 days. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
We typically do not restrict swimming in our patients after laser treatments for tattoo removal. That being said it is best to avoid sun exposure and unclean lakes and rivers. Also, you need to check with your treating physician.
Hi, it is generally advised not to swim or soak in a tub for 72 hours after laser tattoo removal. You body needs a chance to heal and soaking in water could increase the chance of infection. It is OK to shower and lightly wash the area with soap. I've attached a link to our aftercare instructions sheet, I hope it helps. Good luck with your treatments.
Post any tattoo removal treatment, the skin has a risk of infection. After the first day post treatment when we advise the dressing to be removed, we urge our clients to let the tattoo treated area be exposed to open air as much as possible. While the skin is still healing, we discourage swimming to minimize the risk of infection. This is usually a 7-10 day period.
Thank you for your question. I would advise against swimming for a couple days. It’s better to let the treated area heal properly. Please make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.
