I have a 2.5 inch by 1 inch faded tattoo on my rib cage that I am planning to get surgically removed. Tattoo excision is my only option due to scarring underneath the tattoo. I'm not entirely sure how to go about this process, specifically, what type of doctor to contact for a consultation. Would a plastic surgeon be my best bet? Or possibly a dermatologic surgeon?
