What are the best settings for Infini? I have gone to two different doctors for Infini, and I noticed the technique was diff.

Great and versatile device.  It's somewhat difficult to comment on settings since it may vary depending on what you are treating.  One can adjust the settings down and use the device like a microneedling treatment for skin rejuvenation or crank them up to treatment, wrinkles, folds, acne scars etc.  I do five passes over the worst sites and three passes over the rest.  Usually the deepest depth is carried out first gradually moving superficial.  I recommend between 3-4 treatments and bring patients back every 4-6 weeks.  Best of luck!

The settings for the infini will depend on skin type and the depth of the needles that is needed to achieve the best results. Acne patients will require a more aggressive heat intensity and greater needle depth to achieve better results. These patients will also require more treatments. Talk with your doctor about what settings would be best for you.

The setting used will be based on the individual's needs, skin types and desired results. Infini is a popular treatment, but I prefer Intensif, because the needles are non-insulated and it gives more robust results. I always combine with prp and lasers to get the best outcomes. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

The settings are different depending on the degree of correction needed, skin type, and the problem which is needing correction. The US devices now have simplified user interfaces to just low, medium, and high in the various regions of the face. The depth of the needles are adjusted according to the area of the face or body treated. 

There are many different ways to stimulate collagen.  A lot is dependent on skin type and what you are trying to treat.  Infini can be oscillated with fractional nonablative or fractional ablative.  When doing Infini, I typically start with a deep pass with longer pulse durations, a second pass targeting medium depth and finally a last pass being more superficial.  That way improvement can be seen deep with moderate to severe wrinkling or acne scarring, and the texture will be improved.  I recommend at least 3 treatments and some patients may need more depending on their ultimate goal.  This can be oscillated with nonablative, but if darker skin type, I often will still with Infini so that the most aggressive treatment is delivered, while minimizing any post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. 

This device is one of the best, but also hardest to use PROPERLY, settings will depend on many factors including the type of skin (skin colour), if you are darker I tend to deliver energy deeper, with shorter PD and less energy levels. If we are targeting scars, its deeper, but adjusted with the spring rates based upon the feel. After 60 shots I check for carbon build up on the tip, if loss of insulation occurs, I vary my PD and energy, hence settings constantly changing based on all the above. There is no ' cook book ' for Infini, its a thinking device...namely adjusted according to the patients skin colour, skin concerns, and performance of the device.
