This is always helpful information if you can get it but most experienced plastic surgeons have other techniques including measurements and 3-D imaging to help gauge the size of the implants you have. In the case of implant removal alone, the details make little difference.  If you are considering a lift of the remaining breast tissue after removal or you want to put smaller implants back in, thisbinformation is helpful. If you are just having an explantation then it doesn't really matter. If you are having an exchange you can probably contact the implant company and they  may have your information on file.
