How much time do I need to wear a compression bra after implant removal?

Every clinical situation and patient are unique. Therefor, I do  suggest to follow the recommendations of your treating plastic surgeon, as she or he would know your individual situation the best. However, for a routine implant removal without any other contributing factors, I would have my patient wear a compression bra for 24 hours a day for 2 weeks. Then all day long for another 2 weeks, or until ALL bruising is gone, whichever is longer.

Each surgeon will have her/his own protocol with regard to wearing compression which is why it is best to ask your surgeon. Your surgeon's office should be relaying the recommendation of your surgeon regardless of who you speak to. I typically recommend patients wear compression for two weeks, but it may vary based on each case.
