Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best,Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
Fraxel can work well with smoothing out skin texture. Fraxel Restore – a gentle treatment, best for lesssevere acne scarring. The fractionated laser creates microscopic columns in thedeep layers of the skin. This will stimulate collagen, increase production ofelastin, and repair acne scarring. We recommend about 3 sessions for optimalresults; however, number of treatments required will depend on the individualpatient. You will experience very minimal downtime, about 3 days of skinredness. Can be done on all skin types. Fraxel Repair – this is a more aggressive treatmentcompared to the Fraxel Restore, and will require more downtime. This treatmentis best for more severe cases of acne scarring. You will see collagenproduction, elastin repair, and acne scarring subside. The results are wellworth the downtime. You can expect about 10 days of redness and healing. For best results please consult with a board certified dermatologist. Thank you for your question and best of luck!
It's hard to tell from just the single photo, but I would consider starting with TCA CROSS rather than lasers. See a doctor who specializes in the treatment of acne scars.Regards,Dr. Ort

Fraxel will not remove sebaceous hyperplasia. I have had good luck with skin classic or with smooth beam laser to an individual lesions. You may need to repeat as necessary. With regards to acne scars and Fraxel I would discuss your plan with an experience physician and determine I fraxel is...
