Does micro-needling reduce open pores size?

Once the acne is under control, microneedling can be a great option to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores.

Our office has many different treatments for scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. It is important to not microneedle over active acne. This will cause the bacteria to spread and create an even more intense breakout. Microneedling is a great way to reduce the appearance of pore size. Pore size can change over time as we age due to genetics and environmental factors. Microneedling is usually done in a series of treatments for best results.
