Alternative to Minoxidil? Any natural alternative (coconut oil or something along those lines) with less chance of side effects?

In general, medications that are more effective at preventing hair loss and/or helping hair growth are also going to leave you more prone to side effects. So, something like Minoxidil works really well but relatively is more likely to cause irritation or (rarely) heart problems. Something like coconut oil has virtually no chance of side effects but also has virtually no effect on hair growth.

The reality is that coconut oil does nothing of any significance for hair growth. In addition to Minoxidil, finasteride, low level laser and PRP are the other treatments one can consider. Minoxidil can cause chest pain in some and in such cases it should be stopped - and this side effect carefully reviewed with the prescribing physician.
