10 days post procedure is too early to tell about results.  The solution has a lot of sodium and will lead to water retention in addition to inflammation.  6 months post procedure you will see your final results. Be patient at this point, lymphatic massages, low sodium/low carbohydrate diet will help shed that extra fluid

Laser Lipolysis can be applied for lipolysis and for tightening. This treatment does swelling on tissues in postop peried becouse of heating. The swelling increases more on the first week and the swelling will be in maximum level in the first month. Than it will start to decrease after one month. It can go on till the 6th month. So don’t worry becouse it’s just the 10th day now.

this is a common mistake. Everyone has swelling and it takes time for it to resolve. there is also a definite tightening effect and reduction that continues for 6 months!!!i have done over 800 Smartlipo cases in my office. I stress to all of my patients:1) that they will continue to improve for 6 months2) it can take up to 2 months to start to see any improvement (some will see it sooner)3) it is a partnership. Smartlipo can reduce fat in the specific areas treated. however you will always get a better result if you can drop your total body fat through better dieting (lowering carbs is key) and exercise. be patient and hang in there. david berman md
