5 months ago I had SmartLipo to my outer thighs. Is there an adverse reaction in tanning or being in the sun on the area that had the lipo? Other than general sun damage. I like to get a base tan about 5 Times in a high quality tanning bed, and then apply sunscreen the rest of the summer. With 3 kids and a pool I tend to get sun even with the use of 50 SPF. I’m worried that the area that had the SmartLipo will discolor or look different from what it used to. Thank you!

Usually the drainage stops by the next day. You may just be having a bit of drainage from the incision, which is not uncommon and this will resolve on its own and is nothing to worry about. IF it persists, simply see your surgeon and let him examine you.david berman md

This is an area that I usually do during a laser assisted neck and jowls liposuction. It can definitively improve this area and tighten it. Too bad it was not done during your neck lipo.
