One nipple bigger than other after breast implants - what can be done to stop this?

It would be unusual to have just one of your nipples grow after surgery on both sides and especially to recur after nipple reduction on just that side. I would recommend a biopsy to make sure there is no pathologic condition causing your recurrence as the first step.

Hello!  Thank you for your question!  While unusual for the areola to increase in size after a standard breast augmentation, especially if the areola was not surgically altered or used during the incision, is unusual, however, is possible.  Nothing other than surgical correction can ameliorate that, especially since you did have a revision already.  Discuss this with your surgeon or a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss with you the options for revision. Consideration for revision via purse string and use of a permanent or Gore-tex suture is likely. Hope that this helps!  Best wishes!

I would say that it's unusual for one nipple to grow and not both after an augmentation, but that's not saying that it can never happen.  It's more typical for both nipples to enlarge a bit after an augmentation.  Perhaps ask your surgeon about using permanent Gore-tex sutures if you try reducing them again.  ac

I agree that is unusual for only one side of the areola to enlarge after breast augmentation.  Breast augmentation does stretch and enlarge the areola I but usually both.One option discussed with your plastic surgeon is a permanent pursestring suture since you have already had one revision.
