How many ccs are likely to be transferred to my butt with 3 liters of fat removed from lipo?

Not many patients have 3 liters of pure fat available after liposuction. Of the 3 liters, more than half is water (saline), blood and oil. This needs to be strained and is not useful fat for a fat transfer. Therefore, if you have 3 liters of lipoaspirate removed, you may be able to obtain 1 liter of pure fat (if that) of which you can have 500 cc injected per side. Be careful of any surgeon who tells you you will have 1500 cc or more injected per side, if so, they are injecting water/blood into your buttock, not fat. Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

First you need to determine if this is pure fat or just lipoaspirate. If you get 3 liters of fat, then 1500 cc of fat can be placed in each buttock. However, I do not think that most surgeons perform this type of liposuction and this large of a transfer. I have injected 1500 cc to 1800 cc per buttock of pure fat.I perform about 500 Brazilian buttlifts each year, and this
procedure is the most surgeon dependent plastic surgery procedure. Find
a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of
Brazilian buttlifts each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's
website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can

Not all the material removed will be able to be transferred. A portion is water and oil. But you still will have a significant amount of fat to place.

Thank you for your question.Normally for that amount of fat I can inject between 1300-1500 cc of fat in each buttock cheek. This also will depend on how much water and blood is removed for the fat to be injected. My technique consist of injecting in to the muscle in order for the fat cell to survive more because of the blood flow in that area.
