I've had 3 surgeries all for Capsular Contracture on my left side. Should I switch from under the muscle to over the muscle?

I have had 3 surgeries all resulting in a capsular contracture only on the left side. I don't know what to do now. All three were different surgeons, I am now being told I should try textured implants over the muscle, since under the muscle is proving not to work for me. Any help greatly appreciated!!! This is devastating for me.

I would advocate using the textured implant and changing your site as well as removing the capsule. If this surgery fails that you should consider removing both implants.Earl Stephenson Jr MD DDS FACS

there is now good data that the use of acellular dermal matrix (Strattice or other) along with capsulectomy or a capsule exclusion procedure (neopectoral pocket) can decrease capsular contracture recurrence. I would seek a plastic surgeon with experience in these techniques

I am sorry to hear about the problems you have experienced after breast augmentation surgery. Based on your description and history, it sounds like you may be dealing with  breast  implant encapsulation (capsular contraction)  as well as significant breast implant rippling as palpability issues. In my practice, I find the use of acellular dermal matrix as well as adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsulectomy,  capsulotomy, capsulorrhaphy) helpful during revision breast surgery. Exactly what maneuvers would be necessary, of course would depend on your physical examination.  I do not think that conversion to the sub glandular position would be necessary;  there are significant potential downsides to breast implants placed in this position. I'm very sorry to hear of your experience.The combination of textured breast implants, wrapping the implant with acellular dermis, and a new implant location are the best options to prevent recurrence of your capsular contraction.  I agree you should consult an expert at breast implant revision surgery.
