Second opinion told me no doc should ever touch my face with fillers again. Loved my results with juvederm ultra however each time my cheeks turn bright red later on day of injection...my last time, significant swelling in face could barely smile for two days, aching pain lasted several days, itchy tiny bumps on cheeks. Pic of redness and swelling attached. What to do?
Answer: Redness after filler injections Fillers wouldn't usually cause this sort of reaction, especially the first day. I agree with Dr. Patel that this may be an allergic reaction to the cleansers used before the injection. Could also be a reaction to the needle/injections themselves.

Answer: It is extraordinarily rare when someone becomes sensitized to hyaluronic acid fillers, but it can happen. Thank you for your question! It is extraordinarily rare when someone becomes sensitized to hyaluronic acid fillers, but it can happen. The tell-tale sign is redness, itching, swelling, and induration (hives). You have the all the symptoms of an allergic reaction. There are other solutions for facial rejuvenation though. You could consider non-chemical options such as Pelleve radio frequency, or photofacials for lighter, brighter and tighter skin. You too could be tested for use of Sculptra instead. I like to recommend dietary sources of collagen aslo in powder or capsule form. It is always a good idea to listen to the body and respect it's limits. Best of luck!

Answer: Redness after filler treatment There maybe several causes for the redness on your face after filler injection, one of which maybe related to the products used to clean the skin prior to treatment. I'm not sure the reason behind why your physician said you cannot have fillers again but I would need to get more history before making a pronouncement like that. My initial thought is this is related to the cleaning or products used on the skin after the treatment. It would be helpful to know if you had any other symptoms other then the redness and if you have every had fillers in the past.

Answer: Juvederm question If the visible redness is only there for a few days, then it's just an inflammatory process to the trauma caused by the needle and not the Juvederm. As long as the redness is short-lived, you can have the Juvederm injections without any concerns. Good luck from New York City
