What does it mean if your cheek fillers are hurting after 8 months of getting them?

I woke up this morning to just my fillers hurting. They only hurt when I smile or apply pressure. I’m also sick so maybe that may be contributing to it. But I’ve never had them hurt like this since when they were put in.

This may be due to being sick. If it persists, I recommend following up with your injector. If necessary, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Generally reaction to fillers occur sooner than this. However there can be instances of delayed reaction. Other reasons for your symptoms could be conditions unrelated to the fillers themselves, such as other infective or inflammatory processes.

Thank you for your question. This could be a couple of things. If you are sick it could be sinus pressure in the area causing pain. It could also be a late onset inflammatory response with your filler. I would suggest speaking to your provider if it persists.
