Can I smoke, nicotine free e-cigarette after a FUE? (Photo)

I know that smoking is bad after FUE, for many reasons but especially for the blood vessels that help the healing process and for the new hairs to "accept their new himes" but I can't sleep more than 2 hours a day right now and the urge to smoke us too great. We're on day 3 and so far I've had 6 cigarettes already. Would it help or be less detrimental if I used a nicotine free e-cigarette. Please help. Thanks P.S. So far there's no bleeding but it does itch. Here's a pic of my grafted area.

A good thing about hair transplant surgery is that it is permanent.  A bad thing about hair transplant surgery is that it is permanent. That is why if you have a bad result it is very difficult to fix.  Removing transplanted hair with FUE will leave scarring.

Thanks for the question. Based on your photos, the 3000-4000 grafts might be good option for you, but it would be wrong to say something for sure. You should see a board certified surgeon. You can then plan the process together and discuss the results. I wish you all the best.

If you are worried, it is best to contact your doctor.  Everyone experience pain differently but without an examination there is no way to tell what you are experiencing is normal.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.

Most doctors have specific post operative instructions.  Ask your doctor if you have questions you are concerned about.  In general you can resume normal activity after 2 weeks.
