Hair loss after gynecomastia surgery: is there any link between the two?

It is difficult to determine the direct reason for your hair loss as many factors are at play: age, genetics, medications, hormone levels… If you're physician is assuming it is from the stress of surgery that is likely because other things were ruled out.  If you are unsatisfied perhaps you should seek another opinion, or ask your surgeon if he has any ideas 

Thank you for your question but with out more information it will be very hard to tell what your problem really is since you did not send photos or say where your hair loss occurred. I don't feel that your hair loss is from surgery unless it is around you areola which could be from your surgery.  This could be from your genetics and you maybe losing your hair due to other things. 

I know of no reason for you to lose hair . Please see a dermatologist and get some info and advice.    Your hair will come back.   My Best   Dr Commons
