Prognosis and how should my open wounds be treated from thigh lift surgery and what can I expect going forward? (Photo)

I am 7 days post op for medial thigh lift. Both sides opened up. How can this huge hole heal on its own. I am in a lot of pain. Doc prescribed antibiotics and said I should feel better when they went to work. The next day I did. But since incision opened more I am once again great deal of pain. I'm cleaning by letting water run patting dry neosporin pain relief and packing gauze. My concern, how open incisions should be treated and how long recovery will take. I need to get back to work.
