In this photo, the top is my right and the bottom is my left. A few years ago, my left cheek collapsed and the skin and fat are now sagging down into a jowl, creating a lopsided appearance. I just want my left side to look like my right side. I do not want anything done on my right side. What would be recommended? Ultherapy and Morpheus have done nothing to help.

Answer: A combination of resurfacing lasers and fillers can help improve appearance of the face. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Recommendation for Jowling and skin sagging. My recommendation for mid-face and peri-oral skin saving, as well as jowls is a combination of treatments. First, I recommend botulinum to the DAO and platysma muscles as well as filler to the temples. If that doesn't get you the desired results, add filler to the NLF, marionette lines and jowls. Last, but not least, look into Elacore and Tight&Bright, a combination of IPL and Morpheus for skin tightening.
