Can implants effect breathing during exercise? I had 550cc silicone implants 9 years ago.

Hi, I had 550cc silicone implants 9 years ago, over the muscle and went from an A to an F cup.  I regularly exercise and have always found such shortness in breath ... it scares me sometimes. I find it so difficult to breath and get my breath back and was wondering if perhaps the weight of the implants are affecting my lung capacity. Is this a thing? Or am I just actually stupidly unfit...though I dont class myself as being so?

I appreciate your questions very much! I would suggest you discuss your shortness of breath with a lung specialist first since it has been 9 years you had these breast implants. If no other medical causes can be found then it could be blamed on your large breast implants. I would not go straight to the breasts until you’ve ruled out more common causes of SOB!

Breast implants do not generally affect breathing unless they are too large for an individual, which is very unlikely as each surgeon recommends the optimal size they thought best for each individual. You best course of action would be to have your primary care physician rule out more common causes of shortness of breath first.
